Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about migrating your Serato library to Rekordbox.

Where is my Serato library stored?+
Serato stores its library data in the _Serato_ folder at the root of each drive containing your music. The main database is usually at /Users/[YourName]/Music/_Serato_ on macOS or C:\Users\[YourName]\Music\_Serato_ on Windows.
Will my Serato crates and playlists be preserved?+
Yes. Our converter maintains your entire folder structure, including crates, sub-crates, and playlists. They'll appear as organized playlists in Rekordbox, exactly as you had them in Serato.
Are Serato DJ Pro and Serato DJ Lite both supported?+
Both versions are supported. Whether you're using Serato DJ Pro or Serato DJ Lite, the converter reads your library data and produces a Rekordbox-compatible XML file.
What happens to my Serato Flip and Saved Loops?+
Standard hot cues and loops are fully converted with color mapping. Serato Flip sequences are specific to Serato's ecosystem and don't have a direct Rekordbox equivalent, so they won't be included in the conversion.
Can I use the converted file with Pioneer CDJs and XDJs?+
Absolutely. The output is a standard Rekordbox XML file that you can import into Rekordbox and then export to a USB drive for use on any Pioneer CDJ, XDJ, or DDJ hardware.
Will my track ratings and comments be transferred?+
Yes. Track metadata including ratings, comments, color labels, and genre tags are mapped to their corresponding Rekordbox fields during conversion.
